SERVICE DISRUPTIONS
Roadworks at junction of A602 Lytton Way and A1155 Fairlands Way, Stevenage - Friday 3rd to Monday 6th September from 2000 until 0600 each night During the closures bus services will be diverted and delays can be expected. Road Closure: Denham Way, Maple Cross - Friday 10th and Saturday 11th September, from 2000 until 0600 The footbridge over Denham Way is scheduled for removal necessitating the closure of Denham Way from 2000 until 0600 overnight on those two days. During the closures Service 321 will be unable to serve Maple Cross and buses will terminate at a temporary stop in Uxbridge Rd just prior to the A412/M25 link road roundabout. The 724 Greenline service between Heathrow and Harlow will divert onto the M25 and not call at Maple Cross (call Arriva on 0844 800 4411 for boarding arrangements). Resurfacing Works: St Albans Station - week commencing Monday 6th September for approximately 1 week All traffic will operate through the station one-way from Victoria Street to Hatfield Road. This means the following for bus services:
All buses will need to operate via Stanhope Road (westbound; including 300/301 towards Hemel Hempstead 304 towards Hitchin and 724 towards Heathrow) or Hatfield Road and Beaconsfield Road (eastbound) Additionally, westbound buses needing to serve northbound stops in St Peters Street will have to use Beaconsfield Road and Victoria Street before St Peters Street The stop on Hatfield Road, near the Crown junction will need to be closed (no buses to enter station from this direction) Although disruption is to be kept to a minimum, some buses may not be able to use their allocated stands
Elstree & Borehamwood Station Bus Interchange - from midnight Saturday 4th until 1300 Sunday 5th September Bus services will bypass the station forecourt and drop off and pick up passengers for the station in Shenley Road. This is due to a crane on-site for the move of a Portacabin. Stop Allocation Changes: Stevenage Bus Station - From Sunday 22nd August Recent work has been carried out between Hertfordshire County Council and bus/coach operators to better utilise stands at Stevenage Bus Station. Stopping Arrangements: Bus Stop at Stevenage, Wedgewood Way, Martins Way - from Monday 17th August The SB7 service will not be serving this bus stop until further notice. This is due to safety concerns with buses turning right. To catch the SB7 service, please use the alternative bus stop in Cartwright Road. The SB16 will continue to stop here. Roadworks: Crossroads in Walsworth Road, Hitchin - from Tuesday 17th August Buses in the area are subject to delays caused by temporary traffic lights replacing the permanant lights. Roadworks: Barnet Road, London Colney - From Tuesday 17th August for up to 11 weeks The following Bus Stops will be closed for some of the time whilst these works are in operation: Southbound - Barnet Road, opp Willowside and Barnet Road, Thamesdale Northbound - Barnet Road, Willowside and Barnet Road, opp Thamesdale During these closures passengers are advised to catch their Bus at London Colney, Sainsbury's. Please see local signs and notices at the stops for further information. Road Closure: Station Road, Rickmansworth - Monday 16th August for approx 16 days Station Road will be closed for essential bridge repairs from Northway to Homestead Road, with limited access between 1600-2100. All Bus services will be diverted: The Red Rose R21 service will be diverted along the High Street and then out via Northway and Church Street. All other services will divert via Park Road and Rectory Road, serving the stops outside the Station and the Waitrose stop in Homestead Road. Passengers should use the following bus stops during this closure: For Red Rose R21 use bus stops in the High Street. For 320, 321 FROM Watford use Stop A in Rectory Road. For 320, 321 TO Watford, also 336, 385 and R4 services, use Stop C in Homestead Road by Waitrose. For Arriva 724 service to Heathrow use Stop A For Arriva 724 service to Harlow use Stop C Please note, Stop B in Homestead Road will not be in use. Please see roadside signs for additional information. Road Closure: Catherine St & Folly Lane, St Albans - Tuesday 31st August and Wednesday 1st September, 0700 to 1900 When the road is closed buses will divert: 34/300/301/T5 via A1081Harpenden Rd Batchwood Drive and reverse. S1/S2/S3 via A1081 Harpenden Rd/Green Lane/New Greens Ave/Carnegie Rd/Cavan Drive/High Oaks/Woolam Cres/Green Ln/Batchwood Dr/ to A1081 Harpenden Rd. Stops in Catherine Street, Folly Lane, Verulam Road, Waverley Road and Normandy Road will not be served during the closures.
Road Closure: London Colney - Monday 2nd August until 15th October Due to roadworks bus services from St Albans will now have to be diverted from Sainsbury's Savacentre via Kings Road, Shenley Lane and Bell Lane. There will be no service along St Annes Rd. Buses for both directions can now access the retail park stops and will be allowed to travel from the retail park to London Colney High Street.
Road Closure: Sarratt Road/Sarratt Lane, Croxley Green area - Monday 2nd August for approx 5 weeks Due to essential carriageway repairs, the closure will operate from the junction of Redhall Lane to the junction with Solesbridge Lane. The Red Rose 352 service will divert from New Road to Rickmansworth, via Chorleywood Road and Solesbridge Lane and vice versa. Bus stops at The Green, Croxley will not be served so passengers wishing to travel on the 352 should use the bus stops in New Road. The R4 will turn at Sarratt and retrace its route through Chipperfield and Chandlers Cross to Watford. Gallows Hill Lane, Abbots Langley - Road closure from Monday 2nd August for five weeks This closure was originally due to start Monday 26th July 2010 but has been delayed due to unforeseen circumstances. However, the plan is still to complete the works during school holidays, so it will now be done within five weeks. During the closure buses will be diverted and will not call at stops in Gallows Hill Lane near its junction with Popes Rd. Passengers should catch their bus services at the stops in the High Street or Hazlewood Lane.
Changes to Stops in Bridge Street, Hemel Hempstead - from Wednesday 14th July In a local stop re-numbering scheme, the Stop 12 in Bridge Street is now Stop 11, and what was Stop 12A is now Stop 12. However there is no change to stop allocations and all buses will stop call at the same places as before. Road Closure: Station Road, Brookmans Park - from Monday 5th July to Friday 1st October The railway bridge at Brookmans Park is being refurbished. Station Road will be closed. Bus services travelling past Brookmans Park Station will divert from their usual route between Welham Green and Brookmans Park: Service 610 from A1000, Dixons Hill Road, Dellsome Lane, Station Road, Bulls Lane, Holloways Lane, Dixons Hill Road to A1000 in both directions. Services 200, 302 and 826 will divert from normal route via Holloways Lane, Dixons Hill Road, A1000 to Church Road then follow the normal line of route towards Potters Bar and Enfield. Same in reverse through Welham Green. Service 201 Will start and finish at Bradmore Green and serve Welham Green (Dixons Hill Road, Dellsome Lane, Station Road, Holloways Lane) via A1000. Service 304 will start and finish at Station Road – Welham Green. From 11th August a special shuttle bus is operating between Brookmans Park and Potters Bar FCC Thameslink Programme: Forthcoming changes to central London closures - from Sunday 23rd May All First Capital Connect(FCC) Thameslink route services will run out of St Pancras high-level platforms 1-4 (normally used only by East Midlands Trains) whenever the route is closed across central London (i.e. every night 2230-0430 and most weekends). In addition, on Saturdays from approx 0630-1930, FCC stopping services to and from Luton will terminate at Kentish Town. Passengers for West Hampstead Thameslink, Cricklewood, Hendon, Mill Hill Broadway, Elstree & Borehamwood and Radlett can, at these times on Saturdays, take one of two services an hour from the upper level at St Pancras International (the xx20 and xx50) and change at West Hampstead Thameslink for a connecting service, but the best advice if crossing London would be to stay on the Northern line an extra three stops and alight at Kentish Town.

Bus Stop Closure: Stop 19, Waterhouse Street, Hemel Hempstead - as from Monday 26th April Stop 19, the southbound bus stop in Waterhouse Street has been closed to make way for a Taxi Rank and buses are no longer stopping here. Road markings have been added next to the stop indicating that buses will stop, but it is unsafe for them to do so. Passengers should use alternative bus stops in Riverside or Marlowes. Road Closure: B1000 Welwyn Road at Poplars Grove, Welwyn Garden City - for up to nine weeks - start date tba** Originally planned to start 4th May, now delayed until further notice Services 724 and 388 will be diverted via Thieves Lane and the A414 to Cole Green then Panshanger Lane back to the B1000 and onto their normal routes.
