New look Intalink Vehicle takes to the roads

Tue 28th January, 2020 8:37:am

A new-look Intalink publicity vehicle is set to become a familiar sight around the county, promoting bus and train services to shoppers, commuters, businesses, schools, colleges and universities.

We've launched the completely revamped Intalink Partnership promotional vehicle as part of our on-going campaign to encourage more people to use public transport and leave the car at home.

The upgraded hardware and software on-board the vehicle will promote and explain the many excellent facilities and products that are in place around Hertfordshire, helping people to make the most of bus and rail services around the county.

Derrick Ashley, Cabinet Member for Growth, Infrastructure, Planning and the Economy, said: “We want to encourage people to use bus and rail services where they can. Public transport is a practical option for many journeys, but people need to know about the full range of services available. This new vehicle will help us promote the wide and increasing range of bus and rail services available, making it easier than ever for residents to leave their cars at home and switch to public transport where there is an alternative.

“We need to get people out of their cars if we want to keep the county moving and our economy thriving. That’s why we’re making improvements to walking, cycling and public transport a priority in all our transport plans.”

The new vehicle is equipped with:
•3 x interactive displays for customers to access
•Journey planner
•The Intalink website
•Bus timetables including printing functions
•Events section
•Feedback function
•2 x real time departure screens – 1x interior and 1x exterior
•Mock up bus stop – with stop specific timetable
•Printed bus and rail publicity
