How can I book a journey?

You can book HertsLynx via an App, website or by telephone.

How can I create a HertsLynx account?

Once you have downloaded the HertsLynx app, you will be asked to set up a HertsLynx account:

  1. Click on the “Sign Up” button.
  2. Enter your email address, your mobile phone number, first name, surname and the password you would like to use for your HertsLynx account.
  3. Select the box to agree to the Terms & Conditions.
  4. There will be a one-time security check for account registrations that will appear on the page.
  5. Click register.
  6. If you have entered a mobile phone number, you will be sent a telephone validation code by SMS, enter this code to validate your phone number and complete your account set up.

How can I make a booking via the HertsLynx app?

  1. Click on the “Where are you going?” button and enter your drop off location.
  2. Click on the “Where are you coming from” button and enter your pick up location.
  3. You can change the time or date of your journey by clicking on the “Leave now” button, which will open a calendar page for advanced bookings. You can choose to either “leave at” a specific time or to “arrive at” your destination by a specific time.
  4. Once you have chosen the date and time, click on “Confirm”.
  5. Click on “Search”.
  6. You will then be given a selection of journey options to choose from. If would like to proceed with a booking, click on “Book”.
  7. You will see an overview of the booking that you have selected and the total cost, you can add a Concessionary Pass or SaverCard (if applicable) by clicking on “Add a discount/subscription”.
  8. You can choose to pay via card or via HertsLynx credits. Once you have chosen your payment method, you will need to follow the directions on the payment screen and then confirm your payment to complete your booking.

How can I see my upcoming or previous bookings on the HertsLynx app?

  1. Click on the three lines in the top corner of the HertsLynx app, this will open a side bar: click on “My Bookings”.
  2. Here you can select to view your Upcoming, Past and Cancelled journeys.
  3. Select the booking you would like to view by clicking on it.

How can I cancel an upcoming booking on the HertsLynx app?

  1. Click on the three lines in the top corner of the HertsLynx app, this will open a side bar: click on “My Bookings”.
  2. Select the “Upcoming” bookings and select the journey you would like to cancel.
  3. Click on the red “trash can” icon.
  4. A pop-up box will ask you to confirm you would like to cancel this booking, you will need to select “Yes” to confirm your booking cancellation.

How can I add credits to my account?

  1. Click the three lines in the top corner of the HertsLynx App, this will open a side bar: click “Payment method”.
  2. Select how many credits you would like to purchase using the sliding bar.
  3. Enter your card details in the box below and click “Pay”.
