HertsLynx Dacorum

From December 2023, Hertfordshire County Council is operating a brand new HertsLynx on-demand bus service in Dacorum.

The introduction of the new HertsLynx service is part of Hertfordshire County Council’s Government-funded Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP) which aims to increase patronage by introducing a number of important initiatives. The service aims to increase access for residents to employment, education, healthcare and leisure activities by offering a transport links from rural areas. Passengers will be able to choose from a large selection of virtual bus stops across Dacorum, including Tring, Berkhamsted & Hemel Hempstead.

The HertsLynx service in Dacorum has an anti-competition feature built into the digital routing & booking system. This means that if your requested journey could be completed on existing public transport, a journey on HertsLynx will not be available; instead the app will show you the alternative routes available on normal bus services.
