Bank Holiday - King's Coronation

The Government has announced that Monday 8th May 2023 will be a bank holiday to mark the occasion of the Coronation of His Majesty The King - and his wife, soon to be known as Queen Camilla. 

Bus 

During the King's Coronation weekend normal services will operate on Saturday (6th of May) and Sunday (7th of May) in Hertfordshire (with the exception of services 502/532, which will not operate on Saturday the 6th of May). 

On Bank Holiday Monday (8th of May) bus services in Hertfordshire will operate a Sunday and Public Holiday service across the county. If a service does not have a Sunday or a Public Holiday timetable, it will not operate.

HertsLynx will be running a normal Saturday service on Saturday (6th of May) including the new evening service between 20:00 and 23:30. A normal Sundays & Bank Holidays service (10:00 – 16:00) will operate on Sunday (7th) and Monday (8th).

Tfl services have no planned closures on Saturday 6 May (the Coronation day) and will operate a normal service on Saturday (6th of May) and Sunday (7th of May). Night Tube and Night Overground services will be running on Friday 5 and Saturday 6 May.

There will be some changes to bus service routes and times, especially in central London, as there will be road closures for the event. Some bus routes in central London might be diverted or shortened due to road closures.

Rail

The London Underground and National Rail stations in London will be busy and there may be short-term safety measures in place affecting the way you enter or exit stations. National Rail are planning to run additional services where possible, but trains are expected to be busy and queueing systems may be in place in some areas.
