HertsLynx - on-demand transport coming soon
3 years ago
Launching on the 19th September HertsLynx is a new on-demand bus service serving villages in North and East Herts and fixed destinations in Key Hub Towns (shown on the map below in purple). The HertsLynx service is designed to improve connections between rural areas and town centres, as well as expand access to employment, education, healthcare, and shopping.
You will be able to use HertsLynx for travel anywhere in the Free-Floating Operating Zone (shown on the map below in green). There will be no fixed routes on this service, instead passengers will be able to be picked up and dropped off at a vast number of stops within this zone. You will also be able to travel from the Free-Floating Operator Zone to designated locations in the Key Hub Towns; Stevenage, Bishop’s Stortford, Royston, Baldock, Hitchin and Letchworth.
Travel will be permitted between Key Hub Towns but will not be available for journeys between multiple designated locations in one Key Hub Town. The service will operate from 0700 – 1900 Monday to Saturday and 1000 – 1600 on Sundays and bank holidays and journeys will be able to be booked in real-time or booked in advance for future journeys.
