HertsLynx is coming to Dacorum

HertsLynx, Hertfordshire’s on-demand bus service, is launching a brand-new service in Dacorum from December 2023 which will operate a flexible, bookable transport provision for residents in rural areas.

The HertsLynx service does not follow fixed routes or timetables, instead passengers will be able to use the service to travel anywhere within the operating zone by booking their journey through the app, website or via the call centre, selecting when and where they wish to travel*.

The service will operate between 07:00 – 19:00 Monday – Friday and 10:00 – 16:00 on weekends & bank holidays with a fleet of three 16-seat Mercedes accessible minibuses, each with free passenger Wi-Fi and on-board USB charging.

The introduction of the new HertsLynx service is part of Hertfordshire County Council’s Government-funded Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP) which aims to increase patronage by introducing a number of important initiatives. The service aims to increase access for residents to employment, education, healthcare and leisure activities by offering a transport links from rural areas. Passengers will be able to choose from a large selection of virtual bus stops across Dacorum, including Tring, Berkhamsted & Hemel Hempstead.

Journeys can be booked though the HertsLynx app, online at bookings.hertslynx.co.uk or over the phone on 01992 555513. Bookings can be made up to 30 days in advance or for the same day, depending on availability and the vehicles can be tracked in real-time (via the app) from 30 minutes before passengers are due to be picked up.
