Intalink gathers Hertfordshire Transport Community

On the 28th November, over 100 delegates representing different members of the Intalink Enhanced Partnership came together to celebrate the continued great work under the Partnership and the Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP).
Sponsored by Journeo, the event offered the Hertfordshire transport community the opportunity to engage with market stalls that provided insights and information on different aspects of Intalink. A comprehensive agenda of notable speakers was also available, including representatives from the Department for Transport, England’s Economic Heartland and more to talk about all things bus.
Thomas Ableman, Founder at Freewheeling and the former Director of Strategy and Innovation at Transport for London hosted the day, and welcomed the audience to the event. He was followed by an introduction by Councillor Phil Bibby, Exec. Member of Highways and Transportation.
Rupert Thacker, Director of Transport for Hertfordshire at Hertfordshire County Council gave an overview of delivering a transport system that works, as well as the challenges and opportunity Hertfordshire presents.
The day was split into three topic areas: Transport Strategy, Future Ambitions, and Working Holistically. There full agenda was as follows:

- Forogh Ramani, Director of Hertfordshire Growth at Hertfordshire County Council: The Hertfordshire Growth Board.
- Matt Mann, Senior Public Affairs Manager at the Confederation of Passenger Transport: The Economic Impact of Local Bus Services.
- Matt Lale, Head of Integrated Passenger Transport at Hertfordshire County Council: The Intalink Enhanced Partnership
- Darren Granger, Group Manager at Hertfordshire County Council: Hertfordshire Essex Mass Rapid Transit
- Trevor Brennan, Project Lead at England’s Economic Heartland: Future Ambitions and Challenges
- Anthony Collier, Local Plan & Strategic Development Assistant Manager at Hertfordshire County Council: Hertfordshire Local Plan
- Victoria Leitner, Strategic Advisor, Health Places and Natalie Kelly, Age Friendly Communities Lead, Age UK Hertfordshire: Public Health and Age UK.
Mark Doran, Executive Director of Growth and Environment gave his closing thoughts to finish the event.
Attendees were then offered a final opportunity to network and explore the Marketplace, that featured 12 stalls including representatives from Journeo, PADAM, the Royal National Institute of Blind People, Thomas Pocklington Trust and Sight Loss Councils, as well as delegates from within the Intalink Enhanced Partnership and Hertfordshire County Council.
